Of Judgements and Judges
I was thinking the other day about how sometime we like to judge people. About how we sometime we assume we know a person inside out after our first few impressions of another. It sounds really unfair doesn't it... to be judged by first impressions. A Certainly a person is worth and deeper than what 10 mins can tell you. As logical and even ethical as this sounds, I think I 've been given to assume too much about other people. It's just so wrong. I remember a time when I was younger in my secondary school days where I was frequently the brunt of other people's judgement. I hated it and promised myself never to do that to another. I remember the verse "judge not and ye shalt not be judged" and I remeber that if God judged us by he grace of His Son than I too must judge not with mine own tainted eyes but with His eyes that sees throught the heart.
But I suppose I've have become a hypocrite in this respect. God forgive me...
I was thinking also about how guys like to judge girls from their appearance.About how appearance matters so much to a guy when looking for a partner or worst a friend (how shallow is it to only have pretty and beautiful female friends). I took a hard look at my heart and wondered if I was like that... I'm still looking...
But I guess I leave that for another time then...
