23rd December - Day before Christmas Eve
It's been 3 weeks since exams ended. But it sure doesn't feel like much. Guess it's because I've been busy with so many things. Recounting back, I finished my paper on a thurday (2 Dec) the I had a camp immediately after that. Then I went back to move out of my room at the Hall, the went for worship practice the next day(Sat) and then I went out with my church friends on Sunday, leaving me 3 hours to pack for my trip to Cameron Highlands for 6days. Wow... that sounds really like a mad rush.
I wish I had time to settle down at Cameron. But by the time that happened I fell sick. Not that I didn't enjoy myself there but I guess things would have been more enjoyable if I didn't fall sick and I had prepared my heart to go.
The Lord did speak to me much during back there. Only now do I realise tha extent of what I've learnt there. I guess the Lord dealt alot with me there and then. He broke me down and revealed the pride and the dependence I have on people rather than Himself.
Though I miss my church friends so much and the time we spent together in the past, the Lord delights more in the fact that I commune and rest in Him forst before I return back to my friends. I guess I've forgotten who was with me throughout the exam period. The pain and long journey of 2 weeks was indeed than anyone could bargin for...
I still have a few weeks left before the term starts. Time to be retrospective and reflect about one year of events.
I spoke a A CG member yesterday and he shared about how disorientated he was during holidays. With Hall activities and church activites. I guess we all get caught up during this festive period.
But you know what? Orchard Road never cease to amaze me this Christmas. The different churches got together to bring out the true meaning of Christmas. The Birth of the Son of God. Jesus the Godhead, the Son of Man.
Oh What Child is this who laid to rest on Mary's lap is sleeping?
It's all about Christ. The Saviour of the World. What a shame if we would forget that? Yes. It would be a shame...
