God's Sense of Humour in my life

So I'm in the Lab now at 12:25am in the morning trying to do the experiments for my FYP. I'm lethargic due to lack of sleep for the past week, I'm moderately stressed and immensly tired... rant... rant... rant.... It just one more week to go before my the submission deadline so I guess I'll just suck it in and move on ahead... I'm basically too tired to rant, complain or be worried.. so i'll just move on with it....
I really want to say I'd appreciate Jasper, Huiyu, Jingyi, Xiang, Song Lee and Jasmine for remembering my birthday. It's one week early but heh... I was pretty suprised =) All the best in your new unit Xiang. I'll be doning green too in May. Ah well...
As my FYP comes to a climatic close by the end of this month and perhaps the middle of next for presentation, I'm just chuckling to myself as to how things sometimes turn out.
I remember sharing to Ruth the other day that I was pretty disgruntled when I was in year 1 for being an engineer. Disillusioned as to what an engineer does or what the job entails. Basically, i wanted out.
I spent quite a bit of my time studying in Medicine library and Brenda (whose in Pharmacy) was kinda the one who brought me round NUS. My personal OGL. Hahah... And I knew a tad too many Engineers (well 1 cohort is like 2000 and it doesnt help that about 300 of the 400 people in RH are Engineers). I felt nothing special about being an engineer. I mean I'm just like everyone else. Coupled with the fact that I my Biology module was the most interesting module I was taking, I kinda decided in myself I prefered Medicine more than Engineering. (Brenda knows this all too well) . I wanted out. Even opted for Bioengineering in year 2 as a major.
But God has a strange way of turing things around. As I hit my final year, I must say I am interested in what I'm doing. Electrical Engineering is exciting; though most of my peers think otherwise. And then the strangest slant in my FYP occurs 2 weeks before the submission deadline - I'm to go to NUH to do Gait Analysis for normal and pathological gait; things which doctors (Orthopediatricans to be exact) learn and research on. I'm back to the Medicine faculty agian!
All I can say is. God has a sense of humor and His plans well they suprise me always. =)
Ok back to my giat analysis.
