Hi Boss....

As my term in office edges to close in a few months time, I guess the only thing that I'll will not miss is fact that everyone in VCF has this irresistable urge to call me "Boss"; as well as all other connotations that alludes to that. (If you're from arts, you don't get a prize for guessing correctly what the other terms are.)

I guess it doesn't bother me that much except when I think about it, people kinda stopped calling me by name. So while it seems I've gained a few English names during this one year, I kinda miss the sound of my own name.

Also there's this general aversion when somebody calls me "Boss", because it usual means work is involved. Of course the other reason for not missing my new "name", which I hope is invalid, is that I'm suddenly identified only functionally and not personally. This one's kinda scary cause at the end of the term of office I don't want to take back a bunch of accolades (as if they would come) or be remembered as a the Chairperson; but I a bunch of friends and relationships that God-willing may last a lifetime; or at least for a long time to come.

So go ahead an call me Boss for now; as long as I know that is also synonymous for "Friend" and "Confidante".
