Quick updates

Well as you can tell from my lack of updates... I have been pretty busy.
The first week of school stared last week with me feeling bored that I have only 2 modules. So I ended up just sitting in for another module just for the interests sake. If you're interested the modules I'm taking are Silicon Processing Technology and Financial Accounting. The one I'm just sitting in for is Advanced Control Systems.

Ok so what have learned when it comes to Week 2.

Lesson #1
There is calm before the storm. I spent the entire week trying to fix a bug in my simulator only to find that after using a total of 4 different approaches the first approach was the best and that the error was due to the data to begin with. So I was basically stressed for this entire week. And I guess the feeling of piled up work will intensify. I wonder how long can keep up with sitting in the extra lecture.

Lesson number #2
Lecturers love being asked questions. And they tend to remember those who asked them questions. So for the past few lectures in the extra module, I've been asking the prof questions which he gladly answered. Then the other day I saw him at my FYP lab and he waved at me and I sheepishly greeted him back. So much for keeping a low profile by just sitting in.

Number #3
I realize that I actually like my engineering modules more than my accounting module. And of all 3 modules I'm taking, I like the extra one best. It's strange that used to I like the non-engineering modules more when I was in Year 1-3.

Number #4
Doing my Bible reading and prayer in the morning really helps me to start the day fresh. It keeps me focused on what is important and reminds me of my Help and Hope in God throughout the day.

Number #5
The book of Proverbs has much good advice. I used to think it was just a random collection of sayings. Apparently it's like the Psalms but with good advice.

That's all the lessons for now.

Just a tidbit of info. for those overseas - its flooding in Singapore!
When we get reports of rain, they usually mean flooding. On Thursday, it was hot till 1700. Then suddenly the skies tore open and there was a huge downpour. All the drains in Raffles Hall were flooded. The water was gushing out in steams in the open drains. All the fields were waterlogged with small ponds (not pools) were forming all over. The on slopes, there was soil erosion on a massive scale at Block 2 pathway leading to DSI. On top of that, all the pavements were wet and laundry hung along the corridor was wet because the rain was simply too heavy. =(
I'm not joking!!

Ok that's all for now =)
