Let me just say that I've been sick over the weekend. Managed to get myself a pretty bad case of flu and sore throat which started on thursday. That's soon after I gave my first FT Sharing on Tuesday... Never spoke to such a large crowd before. Think the numbers amount to about a 100. Prepared a full script only to not use it at all. Hahah... seems that always happens and I never learn that using pointers is really my style. Prepare less say more. Anyway I spoke on the Challenges of Christian Student on Campus. Speaking on 3 points- Conviction for the Word, Counting the Cost of Following Jesus and Carrying the Cross.
But that's not the highlight of the week. The highlight was Friday when I went for an 8am lecture. A shuttle bus I had to take stopped ahead of me when I thought I was going to be later for my class 8am class than I already was (time check is 815am). So there I was running forward to the back door and getting ready to go up.
Suddenly an ang moh lady came out with her kid and so I stepped aside with my hand still on the bus railings at the steps where the door was. After she got I immediately tried to get up.
But here's the drama - the bus uncle shut the door immediately, with my hand still holding onto the railing inside the bus. So there I was my entire self save for my hands hanging ridiculously outside the bus and my hand still inside!
The the bus started moving. The uncle had no idea! So i was dragged for a few metres as the bus moved and like a Jackie Chan movie my legs tried to move as the bus moved so I don't get dragged along. My hands still very much stuck between the door. Finally, I somehow managed to remove my hand out of the bus and landed a good distance from where I started.... Drama right? More like an action flick to get you started for the day.
My arm was bruised for the next few days and is still a slightly visable blue-black mark on my right forearm.
The story ends with the bus stopping a few distance after I detached myself and I got up and managed to get to the lecture theatre at 820am. The lecturer started talking at 825am.
So I wasnt late after all.... =)
